E ste foarte aproape de coastele vestice continentale grecesti.O banda foarte ingusta de mare o desparte Akarnania,si un pod plutitor lung de 50m leaga insula de continent.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator  transparent   \"><\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p>Lefkada cu o suprafata de 302,5 km patrati este a patra insula ca marime a grupului de insule Eptanisos. Impreuna cu insulele mai mici Meganisi, Kalamo,Kasto, Skorpio, Maduri, Sparti, Thilia , Kithiro si alte insule mici formeaza judetul Lefkada, care are capital orasul cu acelasi nume si se imparte in 6 municipii (Lefkada, Ellomenou ,Apollonion ,Karyas ,Sfakioton , Meganisi )si 2 comune (Kalamou si Kastou afala in central insulei si se numeste Stavrota(1182m),urmeaza varful Elati (1126m),Ai Lias (1014m), si Mega Oros\u00a0 (1012m).<\/p>\n<p>In partea de vest care este mai abrubta se afla multe plaji cu nisip. Are de asemenea plaiuri inguste, vai fertile si canioane cu vegetatie bogata. Totodata are mlti pomi \u2013maslini,pin o varietate speciala de stejar ,plante aromatice si flori rar intalnite.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p>Insula are multe izvoare cum ar fi izvoarele lui Kerasias in Syvro, mici cascade cum ar fi Dimosaris in Nydri si chei impresionante Melissas in Sfakiotes si Haradiatikon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p>Cele doua lagune in partea de nord a insulei sunt importante zone umede pentru multe specii de pasari. Bogata este si divizia marina a insulei. Este format din plajele impresionante ,din peninsule si Capul Lefkata care este o minune.
